Coudelaria Agulava for the past 20 years has been dedicated to training and maintaining Bullfighting Horses for the Portuguese Style Bloodless Bullfights in California, as well as Bullfights in Portugal, Mexico, Spain, and France.
Coudelaria Agualva also specializes in importing, exporting, breeding, and selling mostly Lusitanos, but occasionally Andalusians, Aztecas, Arabians, and Quarter Horses. Our Lusitanos are imported from Portugal, France, and Brazil and are selected based on their conformation and bloodlines. The bloodlines that Coudelaria Agulava's horses have are: Veiga, Coimbra, Sommer Andrade, and Quina.
Coudelaria Agualva on average has 20 brood mares, 3 breeding stallions, a quadra of 6 bullfighting horses, 8 horses in training, and several fillies and colts.
Over the years Coudelaria Agualva's Bullfighting Horses have had the privilege of performing in the California Bloodless Bullfights with Cavaleiros from around the world such as: Alberto Conde, Ana Batista, Antonio Telles, Brito Paes, Carlos Costa, Gilberto Felipe, Joao Telles, Joao Carlos Pomplona, Joao Salgueiro, Joey Correia, Julio Vilhena, Patricia Pellen, Luis Rouxinol, Rodrigo Santos, Rui Fernandes, Rui Pedro, Rui Salvador, Sonia Matias, Vasco Taborda, and Vitor Ribeiro.
Even though we try our best to select horses with potential for bullfighting not all horses make it as bullfighting horses, however they have become very successful in other disciplines such as dressage, jumping, and pleasure ridding in their new homes. |
